SRB is responsible for tax policy, tax administration, taxpayers' education and taxpayers' facilitation. Registration, enrolment, tax payment and return-filing processes for the payment of Sindh sales tax on services are carried out electronically. An inhouse database is used for assessment, audit, tax monitoring, tax coordination and verifications. SRB has deployed Oracle Business Intelligence Tool to report and manage its tax payments. It has enabled tax administration to analyze historical data, identify trends and allow for better decision making in tax policy formulation and resource allocation.
